About Garvey
Garvey is proud to represent individuals and families dealing with mesothelioma. He offers both exceptional advocacy skills and a steadfast dedication to the people he represents.
Garvey hails from a family deeply rooted in Justice. Initially inspired to pursue law by his Grandfather, who after a year of law school had to drop out and pick up additional jobs to care for his family, Garvey earned his Juris Doctor UC Law San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings) and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Ethnic Studies double major from Santa Clara University.
During law school, Garvey served in various leadership roles on campus, such as President of the Black Law Students Association, President of the Hastings Health and Wellness Committee in Student Government, Senior Acquisitions Editor for the Hastings Environmental law Journal, and as a competing member of the Hastings Trial Team. He also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Jon B. Streeter, California Court of Appeal, First District.

Outside of work, Garvey is a huge Raiders fan and enjoys swimming and exploring the diverse bodies of water that Northern California has to offer.

Experience
Garvey served as a Deputy District Attorney with the Almeda County District Attorney's office in the consumer, environmental and Special Protections Unit. Additionally, he served as an attorney with the Oakland City Attorney's Office where he did affirmative litigation on behalf of Oakland residents.
