About John

John exclusively focuses on representing victims of asbestos exposure.

A native of Memphis, Tennessee, John was a teacher, whitewater rafting manager, and Americorps program director before becoming a lawyer. In law school, John penned a winning appellate brief while interning at the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Afterward, he clerked at the U.S. District Court (S.D. Ill.), writing on matters as varied as civil rights, federal sentencing, insurance coverage, corporate liability, and electronic discovery. John then worked for a year at the Missouri Court of Appeals (Eastern District) before starting at MRHFM.

Now he guides complicated motions and appeals on behalf of his clients. He has argued / won countless times in both federal and state courts including, recently, Taylor v. Japan Brake, 2026 IL App (5th) 241277 (Appellate Court of Illinois), and Polinder v. AECOM, 588 P.3d 351 (Supreme Court of Washington). John is proud to work for families afflicted---through no fault of their own---with asbestos-related cancer.

John is happily married with three sons. He and his family live in St. Louis, where you can find them exploring Tower Grove Park and its environs.
